Graduated as a pianist with an emphasis in chamber music from the Music Department of the National University of Colombia, he was the winner of the Mazda Foundation for Art and Science scholarship and the Best Undergraduate Average scholarship, developing his Master's studies at the same university under the direction of teacher Harold Martina.

 

He has performed as a soloist, accompanist, orchestral pianist and in chamber music projects in the main auditoriums of Colombia such as the Luis Ángel Arango Library Concert Hall in several seasons, the Colón Theater, the Bogota Fine Arts Theater, the Fabio Lozano Auditorium of the Jorge Tadeo Lozano University and the Julio Mario Santo Domingo Mayor Theater, among others. At a national and international level, the main concert halls of the Banco de la República, the Beethoven Hall of the Instituto de Bellas Artes de Cali, the Alberto Castilla Hall of Ibagué, the Pepsico Recital Hall of the Texas Christian University (EU) and the Recital Hall of the University of North Texas (EU).

 

He has been a pianist for the master's degree in symphonic conducting at the National University of Colombia and has participated in different projects carried out by the main theaters of the country, the Ministry of Culture, the National Symphony Orchestra of Colombia, the Philharmonic Orchestra of Bogotá and the Opera of Colombia, of which he has been a choir pianist since 2008. In 2013 he was invited to participate in the Piano Texas International Academy & Festival in the United States, receiving classes with teachers José Feghali, Joseph Banowetz and Huang Hyun li. In 2017 he was invited to the Cartagena XI International Music Festival, performing a recital with the renowned cellist Santiago Cañón. In addition, he participated as a pianist in the master classes of the teachers Lise de la Salle, Francois Dumont and Bertrand Chamayou.

 

As a researcher, the work carried out on the Colombian musical heritage stands out. He has developed research around the work of composers such as Santos Cifuentes, Blas E. Atehortúa and positioning the repertoire for four-handed piano within the Colombian musical context. He has been the winner of the Scholarship for Research and Musical Editing and the Scholarship for Strategies for Production and Digital Circulation of Colombian Bibliographic and Documentary Heritage within the National Call for Stimuli of the Ministry of Culture. Likewise, his proposal on music and somatics stands out, and the stage fright workshop, which has been present at the UNAB Music Research Meeting, the Latin American Forum on Music Education, and the Latin American Seminar on Music Education, among others.

 

As a teacher, he has been invited to the Master's Degree in Piano Pedagogy at the National University of Colombia, has participated in the annual piano pedagogy seminar at St. Thomas University in Minnessota (USA) and has been a fellow teacher in the Cartagena educational program. International Music Festival (2017). He is currently a pianist of Symphonic Conducting Master at National University, pianist at Distrital University, and is the pianist of the Colombian Opera Choir.
